Listing Guide
There are a number of items you can’t list on sella, and a number of types of advertisements you should not list. Please check that your listings do not include any of these terms:
- Items that involve pyramid selling, or other commission jobs

Sale or exchange of the following breeds of dogs:
- Argentine Dogo
- Japanese Toza
- Brazillian Fila
- American Pitbull
- Items or terms promoting gambling websites, or gaming activities that breach the Gaming and Lotteries Act
- Activities, products or services which may be considered offensive or illegal

To ensure your advertisement is not removed form the Website, please also ensure that your listing does not imply that the seller intends to unlawfully discriminate. Discrimination under the Human Rights Act 1993 may be unlawful if it is based on any of the following grounds:
- Sex, including pregnancy
- Marital Status
- Religious beliefs
- Colour
- Race
- Ethnic of national origins
- Disability
- Age
- Political Opinion
- Employment Status
- Family Status
- Sexual orientation

The following terms are also prohibited from listings:
- “Single applicants only”
- “Married man required”
- “Unmarried mother”
- “De facto couples only”
- “No gays”
- “No queers”
- “Straights only”
- “No Maoris”
- “New Zealanders only”
- The use of “he, she, male, female, girl, boy, woman, man” in a discriminatory manner.
- “No Children”
Banned Items
Sella reserves the right to remove sellers from the site when they have breached our terms and conditions or there is reason to believe that they have in the past or are currently engaged in any unethical or dishonest practices, whether through sella, or any similar trading site or otherwise.

Tobacco
The sale of tobacco or tobacco based products on the site is not allowed.

Plants

Copyrighted items and content
The sale of anything which breaches any copyright or any other intellectual property rights e.g. fakes, replicas and look-alikes. The seller is responsible to ensure they are not in breach of any intellectual property rights in either the content of there listings or the item they are selling.

Fireworks
The sale of fireworks is not permitted.
Nazi Memorabilia
The sale of Nazi war memorabilia is not permitted on the site.

Police uniforms or any emergency services uniform
The sale or listing of New Zealand Police uniforms or any Emergency Services Uniform on the site is not permitted.
Wearing a Police uniform is in contravention of section 51 of the Police Act, 1958. -
Human bodies or body parts
The sale or listing of a human body or body parts on the site is not permitted.

Offensive weapons
The sale or listing of any weapons, other than firearms, that are designed solely for attack purposes is not permitted.

Animal products
The sale or listing of endangered species, or parts of them, is not permitted on the site and will be removed. Please contact the Department of conservation for more information.

Prescription Drugs, Illegal Drugs and Party Pills
The sale or listing of prescription drugs, illegal drugs and party pills is not permitted on the site.

Dangerous Breeds of Dogs
The sale or listing of any of the following dogs on the site is prohibited. Pitbulls, Japanese Toza, Brazilian Fila, Argentinian Dogo and Prese De Canario as these are all classed as menacing breeds in New Zealand.

World of Warcraft Accounts
The sale or exchange of World of Warcraft accounts is prohibited on sella

Foreign plugs
In order to comply with New Zealand laws, items with foreign plugs may not be sold. This applies to items that require an adaptor to connect to a New Zealand socket.

Restricted Items

Sale of Alcohol
Alcohol can be listed on the Website only by Stores that hold the required licence to sell alcohol to the public and have the appropriate approval by Sella. Any listing on the Website that involves the sale of alcohol of any nature without prior Sella approval will be removed from the Website. The Seller will be responsible to ensure the Buyer is over the legal drinking age.

Firearms and ammunition
Firearms listed as category "A" are the only firearms permitted on the site, as outlined in the Arms Act 1983.
If trading firearms or ammunition locally you should always ensure that you see the firearms licence of the person you are dealing with.
If trading firearms or ammunition over distance you should always ensure that you sight a written order, signed by a Police officer, stating that the purchaser's firearms license has been inspected. -
Movies and games
The sale of movies and games on sella can only be done if they carry the correct New Zealand classification sticker and contain all information on the classification.

If movies or games are rated R-18 they must be listed in the appropriate category. -
Pets and animals
Dangerous breeds of dogs (see above) are not prohibited for sale on sella. Furthermore no pets or animals can be auctioned under any circumstance. Animals must be listed with a Buy Now price.
It is up to the seller to prevent the animal going to an unsuitable home. -
Items of an R-18 or adult nature
All items of a sexual or pornographic nature need to be listed in the appropriate category or face immediate removal.
Sella reserves the right to remove listings in this category as it sees fit.
